Applique "Gingerbread Memories" with Dana Lahargoue
Supply list:
Pattern, available in shop
Sewing Machine, power cord, foot control
Bring extra bobbins for your machine
Scissors- both fabric and paper
Light Box if you have one
Applique fusing mat-different from applique pressing sheet. 13" x 17" is perfect
Open Toe Foot for your machine (very important) You will need this for the machine applique portion of the class.
Thread- 50 or 60 weight to match all your fabrics.
Fabric:
You will need a fat quarter for the background behind the Gingerbread House
You will need a fat quarter for the backing fabric
You will need a piece of batting the same size as the fat quarter to make your quilt sandwich.
**I quilted the background and backing prior to doing the machine applique. You are welcome to quilt first or you can do the machine applique first and sandwich and quilt later. If you choose to quilt first, please have it completed prior to coming to class.
